Today, DSCE has evolved into a gateway to excellence. We not only prove ourselves in academics but also in co- curricular and extra-curricular activities. We believe in an education system that values creativity, which further enhances independent and critical thinking along with an urge for the lifelong pursuit of learning.
Our college has a green campus which offers calmness and a quiet place for learning. We are the proud recipient of’Best Herbal Garden’ award by Department of Forest and Environment, Chandigarh Administration.
Our record of excellence has been acknowledged repeatedly by assessments made by many independent and reputed surveys. DSCE scored an ‘A’ grade with CGPA of 3.11 awarded by NAAC in it’s fourth cycle. We are also the proud recipient of ‘Panjab University Chandigarh Over All Sports Championship’ in division C, for the 14th time consecutively- an achievement about which we are proudly passionate. We have been consistently ranked as ‘Best Red Ribbon Club’, ‘Best Wall of Kindnesses’, ‘Best Peace Club’, ‘Best NSS Unit’ and ‘Best Study Centre’ (by IGNOU). This year we achieved State Award of ‘Best NSS Officer’ among all the Colleges of Union Territory of Chandigarh. Such achievements put an onerous responsibility on DSCE community to preserve, maintain and improve ourselves. Our efforts to achieve greater excellence is thus a never ending journey.
In this journey, we are firmly guided by the great visionary Shriman Nirmal Singh ji Dhillon, Secretary Dev Samaj and Chairman DSCE, Chandigarh and Dr. Mrs. Agnese Dhillon, Secretary College Management, DSCE, Chandigarh. The mission of DSCE is to Empower Women and to promote Leadership with Social Responsibility. To achieve this mission, we have professionally committed faculty who have been working tirelessly to take this institution to the pinnacle of glory. The six pillars of the institution that enable us to pursue our vision are Moral Development Cell, Guidance and Counselling Cell, vibrant IQAC, Community Outreach( NSS), Value added courses and meaningful International Collaborations. As a part of our commitment to social responsibility, DSCE offers student assistance programmes.
Teaching-Learning is at the core of the institution’s ethos. We are constantly making efforts to maintain standards and to improve the quality of education. We follow a student-centric approach and do our best to extend and encourage learning beyond the classroom. Field Trips, Educational Movies/ Documentaries, Seminars, Exchange Programmes, Remedial Classes are part of the curriculum.
