International Women Day
Dev Samaj College of Education celebrated International Women Day on 8th March 2021 at 12pm through online mode. All the activities were supervised under NSS program officers Dr.(Mrs.) Harpreet Kaur and Mrs.Charanjeet Kaur. Celebration took place under the patronage of respected Principal Dr. (Mrs.) AgneseDhillon. Dr.Neeru Malik and Dr.RituMago were resource person for today’s event. Function started with welcome speech by Mrs. Charanjeet Kaur and followed by speech and poetry given by students which filled every women with a sense of pride.
Later Dr.RituMago congratulated every women and poured her beautiful thoughts about revered college principal who always stood by them through their thick and thin. Principal Dr.(Mrs.)AgneseDhillon enlightened everyone with her thoughts and emphasised that women should be more obedient towards her duty than rights.Dr.Harpreetkaur, (NSS program officer of DevSamaj College of Education) was honoured among best 20 women of Chandigarhby NSS department, Panjab University Chandigarh.
Then students lifted up the environment with their melodious songs. Afterwards, Dr.Neeru Malik illuminated and encouraged everyone to be strong and follow their passion in life. She also taught the need of sports and Yoga in today’s life. She gave advise on health relatedissue such asAnemia, Fitness, nutrition. She recommended regular walking,running,exercising, yoga, aerobics, self defence, and strength training. A formal vote of thanks was given by Dr.Harpreetkaur at end of the program.
By all means, the program was a great success.
