Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36B, Chandigarh organized its '36th Annual Sports Meet' on 11th February, 2020. Mrs. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat – an International Shooter and Chief Co-ordinator, I.S. Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21, Chandigarh and Mrs. Loveleen Bedi - Principal I.S. Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21, Chandigarh declared the meet open in the morning. The event began with the March Past ,followed by an Oath - taking Ceremony promising honesty towards the competitions. Different Athletic events (Major and Minor) along with various sports competitions were held in which students participated enthusiastically. Special fun activities for faculty members, non-teaching staff and supporting staff were also conducted. Dr. Neeru Malik, Head of the Sports Department, Chandigarh presented the 'Annual Sports Report' of the college. The Prize distribution Ceremony was graced by Dr. Parminder Singh – Director, Sports Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He encouraged students for participating in Athletics and Sports to enrich their lives with benefits of physical activities. Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal, DSCE 36B, Chandigarh articulated the significance of Sports in students' life. She stated that winning or losing in Sports is not important but the happiness originated from the participation in Sports is highly cherished trophy. Different Athletic events (Major and Minor) along with various sports competitions were held in which students participated enthusiastically. Preeti of B.Ed. 2nd Year was declared 'Best Athlete of the Year and Manju of B.Ed. 2nd Year was adjudged the 'Best Sports Person of the year'. The winners are listed as under –
