Interactive Talk on ‘Close the Gap- SDG5’
In a remarkable initiative, Dev Samaj College of Education in Sector-36-B, Chandigarh, organized an Interactive Talk on ‘Close the Gap- SDG5’, focusing on promoting the rights and dignity of girls and women. The prestigious event saw Ms. Saba Sharma, GYPF2023 Youth Ambassador of Change India and the Winner of the Asian Girls Human Rights Award2022 from the Garden of Hope Foundation, as keynote speaker. The primary objective of thissignificant celebration was to raise awareness among the participants about the role andsignificance of Sustainable Development Goal-5 (SDG5), which aims at achieving genderequality and empowering all women and girls. During her address, Ms. Saba Sharma passionately highlighted the importance ofbridging thegaps outlined in SDG5, emphasizing the need to promote equal opportunities, rights, anddignity for girls and women. Her insightful perspectives shed light on the challenges faced bywomen globally and the pivotal role that education and awareness play in addressing theseissues. All students participated in the event, showcasing their enthusiasm and commitment tothe cause. The interactive session allowed participants to pose questions, fostering a dynamicexchange of ideas between the students and speakers.
