Inter-College Health & Fitness Marathon 2020
Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector-36 B Chandigarh organized the Inter-College Health Fitness Marathon 2020. It commemorated the birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand. This marathon was a joint initiative to promote Fit India Movement. Aim of this initiative was to build healthy community in this crucial time and to empower citizens with good health. It was scheduled from 29th August to 24th September.
Dr (Mrs) Agnese Dhillon acted as the Chief Patron of the Marathon. The event was judged by Dr. Rakesh Malik, Deputy Director Physical Education and Sports P.U, Dr. Neeru Malik Associate Professor Physical Education, DevSamajCollege of Education Chandigarh., Dr. NavneetKaur, Physical Education Teachers with Govt. of Haryana and Mr.JayantAtreya, Lecturer Physical Education, S.D. School Chandigarh. Participants from across the tri-city enthusiastically contributed into the Fit India Move. Two events cycling and waking for both male and female were organised. Contestants from the age group of 11 years to 61 years marked their contribution. Participants sent their entries through the online mode. The record was further evaluated by the technical judgement.The event was organised and thrived under the guidance of NSS programme officer’s Mrs CharanjeetKaur and Dr. Harpreet Kaur.

The event was a huge success under the exemplary guidance and support of Dr. (Mrs) Agnese Dhillon Principal, DSCE Chandigarh. The NSS volunteers were appreciated and motivated for their tremendous participation. Certificates of participation and appreciation were given to encourage the volunteers.
