Welcome dear students,

I am very excited to be returning as principal to this fabulous college. You have entered an immensely rewarding career, a social enterprise which tries to usher in a better world through better relationship. This profession concerns not merely with passing on information or knowledge but with awakening a desire to learn and provide means of learning. There are numerous developmental processes that go on in the college in which the students are assisted, guided, inspired and encouraged. Teaching is never monotonous. It is full of change and variety. There is no joy equal to comprehending, grasping, mastering and using a new idea or concept. The excitement of discovering new knowledge and skills, the joy of finding expression for one's creativeness, resourcefulness and pursuit of such a delightful occupation is endless, ever renewing and refreshing. It is a constant search of values and a continuous struggle to interpret these values. It gives a sense of being functionally integrated with the community that brings peace and contentment.

Teachers stimulate intellectual curiosity and inculcate the spirit of enquiry, of a national and scientific outlook. But to know is not enough. If there is desire to share the knowledge, then it is also essential to know how to do it. The essence of all good teaching is growth, so that the teacher shall keep abreast not only of the growing students, but of changing ideas in his subject in a changing world. For this, one should remain interested and involved in exploring all the methods of communication. Students imbibe not merely the faculty of reasoning and analysis but more significantly, subtly, unconsciously the ethics, ideas, code of living from the teacher. The teacher transfers his own joy and satisfaction to the students. Each student is a challenge to a competent teacher and even if one among a thousand fulfils his promise, his joy is confound. A teacher relies in his student which is a fulfilment that no other material reward compares with. Teaching is a profession, a strenuous effort and pleasure of giving. It is a life to which one must give oneself wholly and entirely. That is your redemption and in it lies the redemptions of the society.

I Welcome you all on joining this prestigious institution. The revamped character development framework comprising value education, National education, the arts and holistic programme aims to nurture each member of Dev Samaj family to be "World - Ready Youths, Citizens of the Future", capable of taking care of their own growth and making a positive difference to the community.
